For example, schools might choose to have their PD sessions geared for the adults in the building to incorporate into their own wellness routines and/or to teach their students.
The given topics are also highly customizable and the titles are not set in stone - everything is based on your organization's specific needs.

No, a Restorative Alignment class is not yoga, though parts of it will feel familiar to anyone who has practiced yoga.
For personal philosophical and spiritual reasons, I no longer teach yoga. In fact, I also believe schools should highly reconsider whether you want actual yoga offered to your students without signed parent consent due to the inability to truly unyoke it from its spiritual roots, especially if Sanskrit terms (i.e. vinyasa) or mantras ("ohm") are being used.
As a bit of education, the word “yoga” means “union”—not just physical movement, but a spiritual practice aimed at uniting with the “Higher Self” or the universe. In my certification course to become a 500 hour certified yoga instructor, I studied books linking all yoga poses (asanas) to Hindu gods like Krishna and Hanuman. I learned about Kundalini, a serpent energy supposedly coiled at the base of the spine, meant to be awakened through yoga to achieve spiritual enlightenment. Our breathing practices, pranayama, were aimed at helping Kundalini ascend and controlling the "life force" within us. If you want to learn more about why I have personally shifted my practice, you can read more in the FAQ section of my Live Classes page.
Instead, I teach light aerobic movement coupled with gentle stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques in a completely neutral format. No poses tied to deities. No Sanskrit. No mantras. No religion. Just safe, effective movements to restore and realign the body. I acknowledge it is true that some of the stretches may resemble or replicate yoga poses. However, not all do, and many have been modified from their original form. Furthermore, the aim and delivery of the class will be completely stripped of any ties or connections to yoga's spiritual roots or philosophies, a presentation that would be very difficult to do for someone who does not have the background and qualifications as a 500 hour certified yoga teacher and studied the topics in depth, as this moves beyond simply stripping postures of their names and removing Sanskrit terms.
Fascia is a vast network of connective tissue that encases every organ, muscle, and bone in the body. It provides structural support to muscles, enables balance, helps you sense your body’s position, and allows for fluid and controlled movement. As the body's largest sensory organ, it plays a crucial role in transmitting information from the environment to the brain, helping you understand and navigate your surroundings. When fascia is healthy, it enables muscles and tissues to slide easily over each other, supports the circulation of fluids, and ensures smooth, pain-free movement, with no restrictions or discomfort as you move.
Fascia can become restricted or fibrotic, leading to several issues such as:
Constriction around nerves and blood vessels
Pain signals sent to the brain
Difficulty in muscle contraction and relaxation
Reduced range of motion
This happens due to everyday activities like repetitive movements, overuse, injury, stress, emotional trauma, and even inactivity.
Restricted fascia can cause trigger points, which are painful spots on the body. These restrictions can affect areas far from the initial spot, creating referred pain.
Fascia connects muscles along "myofascial chains," and when there's a restriction in one area, it often causes pain in other areas, like joints above or below the restriction. For example, shoulder pain may stem from an issue elsewhere in the body.
Understanding myofascial chains and trigger point pain patterns is crucial for identifying and addressing the root cause of pain, not just the symptoms. Self-myofascial release is an effective way to relieve pain and improve range of motion without costly treatments or endless stretching.

About Mindset & Wellness Services
Quality Leaders are Prepared in the Wilderness
My Wilderness Testimony
In June of 2017, I became a mom. Five months later, my husband left me. Suddenly, my entire world crumbled and changed.
When put through the greatest stress of my life, my battle with autoimmunity become an epic survival struggle. In January of 2018, I became very sick one night. The ER physician said it was just a stomach bug, gave me a massive amount of fluids, and said "Go home. You'll be fine."
But I wasn't fine.
When I began eating again, I was in such intense pain all I could do was curl up in a ball and pray for it to go away. I could not care for myself. I could not care for my baby. One day, walking into a school building, the superintendent saw me and told me to go home because I was obviously ill. I said, "Fred. I feel like this every day. If I go home today, I might as well never come back."
Months later, I learned I was allergic to milk, wheat, eggs, corn, and sugar.
I rapidly lost weight, bottoming out at a dangerously low 100 pounds. I was starving. I struggled to produce breastmilk. My anxiety made it almost impossible to get through a day. It was the hardest season of my life.
Finally, I fell to my knees and cried out to God, "I literally cannot make it another moment without you. I give everything to you." I promised Him when He brought me out of the wilderness I would dedicate my life to ensuring others never had to experience what I had.
That is why I am here. My passion and expertise to serve in schools stems from my 20 years of service as a teacher and consultant, and in organizations from my 3.5 years service in an ed tech corporation. I know and understand the stresses of both worlds, and I want to help you reduce what it is doing to your mind, body, and spirit.
I did not have the right tools in my toolbox to overcome stress until I was in my thirties. I want everyone to have access to the right tools RIGHT NOW - no matter how old they are.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you,
