I see you.
I know you.
You are carrying so much.
Between state mandates, students with emotional struggles, and unrealistic expectations, you are exhausted. Many of your students come to class with heavy baggage, and if you teach in a low socioeconomic area, the challenges are even greater. More students are falling behind grade level, and tested subject area teachers are expected to perform miracles to ensure everyone passes.
Meanwhile, states are pushing “whole child” initiatives, but they often arrive unfunded, under-resourced, or as an overwhelming list of tasks with no time or support to actually implement them.
Here’s the truth: the best place to start IS NOT with another checklist.
It’s with you.
How do I know?
I’ve been there.
I spent nine years teaching middle school English in a high-poverty school district, followed by six years consulting in rural districts that desperately needed support. For 3.5 years, I worked alongside administrators, coaches, and leaders as an i-Ready consultant. I know the weight you carry because I’ve carried it too.
I’ve been the teacher whose students faced unthinkable challenges. Two of my students came to live with me when they entered foster care. One passed away far too young. A gun came through my classroom. Many of my students struggled with self-harm, abuse, and neglect. Others, from more affluent homes, battled the crushing pressure to be perfect.
And through it all, I became one of their few constants, showing up each day while grappling with my own anxiety, self-doubt, and uncertainty.
Then life threw me into my own storm. I became a single mom when my daughter was just five months old. I lost my husband, my health, and my sense of security in the span of three months. Anxiety consumed me, and there were days I fought for every breath just to make it through the workday.
So yes, I see you.
I see the hero who shows up for her students, even when she feels like she’s barely holding it together. I see the real, human woman behind the role—the one who longs for a moment to breathe.
You deserve that moment.
You deserve the time and space to focus on your own well-being—mind, body, and spirit.
When you learn how to reduce the stress and anxiety in your own life, you’ll feel more empowered, energized, and capable of bringing small, meaningful changes into your classroom.
I know this because I’ve lived it. God brought me through that wilderness, and He gave me the tools and healing I needed to thrive. Now, it’s my honor to share those tools with you.
Many blessings,
Kristie

What Are My Clients Saying?
"Mrs. Chandler has spent several days at Bucyrus Secondary School working with our phys. ed. classes, grades 6 - 12, teaching our students Movement and Mindfulness. She does a fantastic job communicating her goals and makes all of her activities age and skill appropriate. My students were actively involved and focused on her teaching and although there may have been some moaning and groaning from a few students at the beginning, all of the students that participated learned strategies on stretching and relaxation techniques."

About Mindset & Wellness Coaching
Quality Leaders are Prepared in the Wilderness
My Wilderness Testimony
In June of 2017, I became a mom. Five months later, my husband left me. Suddenly, my entire world crumbled and changed.
When put through the greatest stress of my life, my battle with autoimmunity become an epic survival struggle. In January of 2018, I became very sick one night. The ER physician said it was just a stomach bug, gave me a massive amount of fluids, and said "Go home. You'll be fine."
But I wasn't fine.
When I began eating again, I was in such intense pain all I could do was curl up in a ball and pray for it to go away. I could not care for myself. I could not care for my baby. One day, walking into a school building, the superintendent saw me and told me to go home because I was obviously ill. I said, "Fred. I feel like this every day. If I go home today, I might as well never come back."
Months later, I learned I was allergic to milk, wheat, eggs, corn, and sugar.
I rapidly lost weight, bottoming out at a dangerously low 100 pounds. I was starving. I struggled to produce breastmilk. My anxiety made it almost impossible to get through a day. It was the hardest season of my life.
Finally, I fell to my knees and cried out to God, "I literally cannot make it another moment without you. I give everything to you." I promised Him when He brought me out of the wilderness I would dedicate my life to ensuring others never had to experience what I had.
That is why I am here. My passion and expertise to serve in schools stems from my 20 years of service as a teacher and consultant, and in organizations from my 3.5 years service in an ed tech corporation. I know and understand the stresses of both worlds, and I want to help you reduce what it is doing to your mind, body, and spirit.
I did not have the right tools in my toolbox to overcome stress until I was in my thirties. I want everyone to have access to the right tools RIGHT NOW - no matter how old they are.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you,
Kristie Chandler
